One Week Old...

We can't believe that Micah is one week old today! Bart and I have been amazed at ALL that God has blessed us with!

What is this feeling????

So I knew I was having a baby...and that it would be great...but WOW...I have NEVER felt this way before!!!! How can you love something SO much? I look at him and am speechless! Did Bart and I really make this? (With God's help) I think he is the most beautiful thing I've EVER seen!

I could not have asked for a better pregnancy... could not have asked for a better delivery...and now I could not have asked for a better baby. We went to the pediatrician today and she said he is PERFECT!!!!!!!! He has actually gained weight since leaving the hospital, his color is great, his circumcision is healing fine, he's eating well, sleeping well, pooping and peeing well, etc. I am SO blessed!

Micah is here!

Bart and I are so excited to welcome Micah to the world!!!!!!!!

My water broke Friday morning around 2am, and he entered the world at 12:56pm. Everything went great! I was 5cm when we got to the hospital, progressed to 6cm before getting the epidural, pushed for an hour and then he was here! Labor and delivery could not have gone ANY better. We feel so blessed!

Micah Bartley Cook was born on January 16th, 2009. He weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 20 1/4 in. long.

Sweet gifts

We received a package in the mail Friday from Nesie and Pop. In it were lots of fun things for Micah, one of which was the crib bumper made by Aunt Abbey. We were excited about this new addition to the nursery.

Another sweet gift that we received recently was a teddy bear from Abagail. Bart found it in his office one day with a note stating, "I wanted baby Micah to have my bear" -Abigail

Update...

Just want to keep everyone updated. Went to the doctor on Monday and I am 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. She thinks that I'll deliver within the next 2 weeks. Get excited!!!!

Any day now...

It's hard to believe that I am almost to the finish line. At 37 weeks now, I could go at any time! My due date is the 23rd, so I technically have 3 weeks left. I can't believe that this incredible journey is about to be over and that Bart and I will soon enter into the most exciting time of our lives! I really have had a smooth pregnancy and am praying that Micah's delivery will go just as smoothly! Bart and I are so ready to hold him, kiss him and tell him how much we love him!
