Big Boy

Reasons I'm a big boy...

1. No more morning nap!! That's right, I'm only taking one nap a day. Mommy tells me that she remembers when she thought it was impossible to keep me awake until 12pm, and now I can stay up until 12:30pm with no effort at all. I'm taking a good afternoon nap. I usually sleep from 12:30-3pm.

2. I'm talking A LOT!! Some of my new words include...tree, diaper, apple, bubbles, bee. Mommy and daddy love to hear me talk and are so proud of all of the words that I can say.

3. I'm running now. I used to only be able to walk, but now I can run. It makes mommy a little nervous, especially when I'm in the driveway.

4. I laugh like a big boy. If I hear mommy and daddy laugh or I think something is funny, I laugh out loud. It must be pretty funny because it makes mommy and daddy laugh really loud.

5. I can climb on the couch and chairs by myself. I even know how to get down without getting hurt. I can climb all the way up and down the stairs leading to my back yard. I'm pretty proud of myself.

One More thing...

So I gave you guys the 14 months update, but forgot one of the main things he's doing...TALKING!!! He talks constantly. I wonder where he gets that from :)
He is saying new words everyday and is always mimicking what Bart and I are saying. His pronunciation is definitely not perfect, but he's trying so hard!! Below is a list of words he says. There are many words he doesn't say, but understands what they mean.

Micah's Vocabulary:

"bah" - ball

"nigh-nigh"- night night (bed time)

"HI"- says this word perfectly to EVERYONE he meets!

"na na"- banana (but uses this words for all food and drink)

"daddy"- perfectly clear :) Bart LOVES it!

"ba ba"- bye bye

"mmm"- he says this after eating and drinking (with a very expressive face)

14 Months

I feel like it was yesterday that Micah was turning 1. It's hard to believe that he will be 15 months in 9 days!!! He is SO fun right now!!!

1) He's looking more and more like a little boy and not a baby. He's running now and has lost almost all of his baby fat. He's really strong and loves to carry things that weigh a lot. He gets really frustrated when he can't seem to be able to pick something up (like a case of canned sodas).

2) So silly! He laughs constantly and has the most precious personality!

3) Loves bath time! He says, "bah" for bath. He knows that he goes to bed after his bath and will even say "nigh-nigh" when he gets out of the bath to tell us that he's ready for bed.

4) Loves to play and be outside. He is such a boy. He loves playing in the dirt and discovering new things. I would be lying if I said he hadn't eaten any of it. :)

5) Very observant and curious. He wants to learn new things and mess with things until he figures them out. He does get very frustrated if he can't figure them out very quickly (just like his mom).

6) Very expressive. Micah's facial expressions keep Bart and I laughing all the time!
